What are the criteria for approving employer registrations?
- The employers must state that they are specifically looking for Aboriginal employees: First Nations, Inuit and Métis. For a definition of Aboriginal Peoples, please read Terminology from Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada.
- The mandate of the organization or business must be clear.
- The employer organization or business must not contravene the Criminal Code or not be reflective of the Job Centre's mandate. No organization promoting hatred, racism, violence or pornography will be approved.
What are the criteria for approving job postings?
- The Job Centre does not link to other job search engines, staffing agencies or any other business associated with recruiting agencies.
- The advertised job must be located in Canada.
- The employers must either provide a detailed job description or a direct Web link to their Job Postings.
- The Job Centre does not accept postings with requirements that would exclude Aboriginal people.
- The employers are responsible for the preparation of detailed job descriptions. The Aboriginal Canada Portal is not responsible for content of submitted job descriptions.
- The employers are responsible for managing their posted jobs, including the removal of jobs that have been filled before the closing or expiry date.
